After High School Ejnik attended the College of St. Scholastica.  There she was a four time first team All-Conference Player. In 2014 Kortney was named the UMAC Conference Player of the Year.  Finished first in conference with 152 kills and 172.0 points, had 14 double-doubles and was the UMAC Offensive Player of the Week.  She is the only known St. Scholastica player to record at least 1,200 kills and 1,100 digs in a career.
