The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) are yearly state-mandated tests that measure student achievement in reading, mathematics, and science (Science results are not available until October 1^st). The MCAs are based on the Minnesota Academic Standards, which outline what students should be able to do and know at each grade level.  Students are tested in reading in 3^rd through 8^th and 10^th grades, in math in 3^rd through 8^th and 11^th grades, and in science in 5^th, 8^th, and 10^th grades.

In reading, all grades combined averaged 24.4% above the MN state average.

State Average in Reading:  49.6% Proficient.  Hancock Average in Reading:  74.0% Proficient.

2024 Hancock Average in Reading:  70.3% Proficient. (+3.7%)

In math, all grades combined averaged 27.9% above the MN state average.

State Average in Math:  45.2% Proficient.  Hancock Average in Math:  73.1% Proficient.

2024 Hancock Average in Math:  71.4% Proficient. (+1.7%)
