Dear Hancock Friends,
As we have successfully transitioned into the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year, I want to offer a heart-felt thank you. It has been a year like no other, and believe it or not, we’ve now completed more than half of the school year with in-person learning, while carefully navigating COVID-19. It has been a challenging time for our whole community. But, it has been the patience and incredible effort of so many of our students, teachers, families, staff, and friends in the health and medical fields, that have gotten us this far. You have made our community stronger and kept our schools safe for learning. Thank you so much for your support.
Among the many memorable efforts we’ve witnessed this year, every day, our classroom teachers and paraprofessionals work tirelessly to meet the needs of both in-person and remote students. Our maintenance and transportation staff have kept our school campuses and vehicles clean and disinfected. From our front office staff to our food service personnel, thanks to everyone who has remained focused on student wellness and success in doing their very best to maximize student learning.
I want to remind our whole community to be safe and look out for one another for the remainder of the school year and beyond. Our winter activities are off to a great start, and we hope this continues into our spring activities. I wish you all the very best.
Thank you!
Paul Carlson, Superintendent
