The Howe family has truly made an impact in our school. Last week, when we heard about their loss, we wanted to show our support. So….the penny wars began.  Every day, students brought in their pennies for the Howe family. And, of course, to win a pizza party!  Every day, the hallways were a chaotic scramble of kids trying to sabotage other classes.   Every day,  the Hancock community development bank graciously added up our pennies.  What classes are the pizza party winners?

First for the elementary…..

In 3rd place with -5498 pennies is Mrs. Flaten’s 6th Grade class

In 2nd place with -4752 pennies is Mrs. Luthi’s 1st grade class

In 1st place with -3206 pennies is Ms. Lorentz’s 4th grade class

Now for the High School….

In 3rd place with -7756 pennies is 10th grade

In 2nd place with -2187 pennies is 11th grade

In 1st place with +2908 pennies is 12th grade

Last and with the least amount of pennies is 8th grade with -75,162 pennies. You will be getting a bag of laffy taffys for truly contributing the most money!

Thank you to everyone for your donations throughout the week!
